Binance Bolsters European Compliance Team with Hire of Jonathan Farnell

Today, we are glad to announce the hire of Jonathan Farnell who joins the organisation as Director of Compliance to help develop its regulatory products landscape, including regulated e-money and cryptoasset services.

Farnell joins Binance from eToro where he served as Director of Compliance at eToro Money UK and board member and Head of Compliance at eToroX. He has a strong background in financial services, co-founding Arro Money, a UK-based EMI which was acquired by the eToro Group in 2019. His significant experience in e-money and crypto regulation and focus on building exciting new products for users will enhance the capabilities of the rapidly growing compliance team at Binance.

Jonathan Farnell Biography

Jonathan has worked in financial services for over 20 years and specialises in e-money, payments and crypto regulation. He was a co-founder of Arro Money, a UK-based EMI which was acquired by the eToro Group in 2019. Whilst at eToro, Jonathan held a number of senior positions including Director of Compliance at eToro Money, where he advised the Group on the development of e-money services in the UK, EU and SEA. He was also a Board Member and Head of Operations at eToroX, the Group’s Gibraltar-based DLT crypto exchange and custody wallet provider.
