Bharat Mediratta Joins Coinbase as Fellow

Former Google Distinguished Engineer and Dropbox CTO and SVP Brings Deep Technical Expertise to Coinbase

Today, we’re excited to welcome Bharat Mediratta as a Coinbase Fellow. Coinbase Fellows are highly accomplished and recognized technical leaders who are among the best in the world in their respective domains. The role functions at the same level as a Vice President, and is expected to drive technical strategy and be a key technical contributor in crucial areas for the company.

Bharat brings decades of experience as a senior technical leader to Coinbase. He served as a Distinguished Engineer for 10+ years at Google and led the team responsible for Google’s homepage and search results page — making Search fast and reliable in all languages and all domains at humanity scale.

He co-founded and served as president at AltSchool, an education tech company. And, most recently, he served as CTO and SVP, Platform at Dropbox. A long time crypto enthusiast, his deep expertise in next generation infrastructure will be invaluable as we continue to scale the cryptoeconomy.
